When life is not going exactly as planned and all the bad news you hear seems reflected in your own circumstances you’re probably due for some polishing. When you wake up at three o’clock in the morning with low energy and start thinking about all the things that are supposedly wrong with your life—get ready. Life will polish you when you need to be polished. And you are usually ready for the buff-puff after you’ve become complacent, self-absorbed and set in your ways.
Being polished isn’t a painless process but when the oxidized, tarnished outer shell of your life is scraped away the shiny, new buffed you—appears—stronger, smarter and connected. It happens when you need it to happen, so be thankful. It’s a reminder that your existence is not just about how everything fits into your life, but also how your existence fits into the world.
Be glad. Go forward. Study. Learn new ways and new things. Polish your skills. Polish your relationships. A little life polish takes you a long way forward.
